Wrapped up the foil and put it on the grill for about 12 minutes. I just smeared some butter on a square of aluminum foil, laid each filet down on its own square, squeezed lemon, slathered more butter and coated it with Mrs. We had never cooked fish before, but it turned out delicious! Some of the best fish I’ve ever eaten. He wanted to keep on fishing and we couldn’t afford for him to. My son caught two whoppers (in the smaller pond) within 10 minutes of starting and it was so fun for him but over too quick. But they will gut, clean and filet the fish and put it on ice for you. They will donate your catch to a homeless shelter if you don’t want to take the fish. We’ve only ever done catch and release so this was our first experience taking what we caught. Just know it’s $7/lb and boy can that add up fast. They provide everything you need- poles, tackle, bait. It was raining but my son had a great time. But he was sooo happy with his catch! The smiled of success said it all! We watched one little boy who forgot to reel in the fish and just walked backwards pulling the fish out but almost walking backwards into another pond. It’s also a pleasure to watch the other kids who have never fished before bring in a large trout. So arrive at opening when the fish are biting though anytime is a good time it just may take a little longer to hook one. We fished the big pond with rainbow trouts. They have benches around the ponds and each pond is stocked with a different trout. The trout are amazing to watch they are stacked in the ponds like cord wood.

Many people didn’t even know how to use a Zebco reel or tie a knot and he was right there to assist his clients. It’s so nice to see the ponds clean of tree debris and trash kudos to the new manager. Our grandson’s trout at 5 lbs cost $35.00. We met people who came every year and would catch n pay for 10 fish so to afford to do that we figured they didn’t have that commercial fish food taste. The three ponds are feed by running spring water. We’ve fished farm raised trout before but my daughter said there was no taste of that when cooked. We noticed this trip that the place was noticeably more cleaner, staff more helpful and would recommend this as a stop. It took about 1/2 hour but Cole hooked into a beautiful 5 lb trout. A heads up go early in the am for by afternoon they have had there fill of food by anglers. This year July 8 th 2018 we stopped with our 7 yr old grandson who loves to fish. Too many other excellent options in the area.For many years we’ve made the trout farm a regular stop just to look at the trout and watch the people fish. We're local and have eaten there before but never experienced such a circus like atmosphere and noise. After the meal we decided against desert for obvious reasons and asked for our check.
We were expecting a fine chef prepared meal. The food was good but not exceptional like we led to believe. Within ten minutes the music was too loud again. They turned it down and then slowly turned it back up. At one point my husband asked for the music to please be turned down as it was too loud for such a small area and we were having to speak very loudly to be heard by and from our friends.
Told our actual waitress and still no water. The waiter(not our waitress) said he would take care of it. She said she just wanted regular ice water. When my friend asked for water they brought chilled bottled water. What? Who eats Italian food with no bread. When it arrived we asked about bread and was told they don't serve bread with the meal. We were given the menu and made our selections. We were seated at a booth for six which made talking awkward. We asked for a quiet area and was asked if we had eaten in their new section.
